SUMMER SPEAKERS SERIES 


   This June, July, and August, we are hosting speakers on topics of interest to our community. Each SUMMER SPEAKERS SERIES event will start at 5:30 PM with a 30-minute get-acquainted, socializing, refreshment session, followed by the speaker's presentation beginning at 6:00 PM

AUGUST 27, 2024 - "How Technology Affects Art" by Brad Auerbach 


“Our consumption of music, film, TV and news has evolved dramatically over the year,” commented Mr. Auerbach. Technology has made it easier to create, share and expand the horizon of creativity. Discover if evolving technology has been the catalyst for these changes. Learn the role technology plays in business, law and government in creating these changes.  And finally, should we fear or embrace artificial intelligence?

Bradford C. Auerbach is a Partner in the law firm Outside GC. He is a senior legal counsel with extensive and unique ability in Intellectual Property law and licensing, business development, marketing, and content acquisition for recent technologies, on a global level. He has deep familiarity with structuring many groundbreaking deals including working with a diverse range of entertainment, sports, television and recording industries. He also teaches at UCSD’s School of Global Policy & Strategy.

This is the final presentation of the SBCC Summer Lecture Series.
