In the summer of 2021, a group of concerned Solana Beach residents met to discuss the needs of mature adults in our community. This resulted in the establishment of Solana Beach Community Connections, a volunteer-driven, 501(c)(3) nonprofit group to assist seniors who seek support to age in place.
Our research identified numerous services in San Diego North County which were not easily found in one place. With you in mind, we designed our website to help you quickly find the resources you're looking for all in one place.

2025 SBCC AccomplishmentsAs 2025 draws to a close, we are grateful for the support and many contributions from the community. With a small group of dedicated directors, SBCC has accomplished much in 2025.
- Received a $5,000 grant from the City of Solana Beach in partial support of programming such as monthly speaker series and game day
- Continued a monthly Speaker Series with the City of Solana Beach with topics ranging from a mixture of current events/affairs and challenges for seniors living independently
- Continued monthly Games Day at La Colonia Park Community Center in collaboration with the City of Solana Beach and Let’s Play a Game Foundation
- Sponsored two Phone Emergency Workshops with Senior Tech Connect teaching participants how to set up their phones in an emergency
- Produced three four-part Writing Your Story Workshops in which participants could begin writing their life stories.
- Maintained an ongoing monthly Book Club
- Developed the 2nd Annual Holiday Basket Program for Solo-Agers
